Biography

Born and raised in the city of Istanbul, Türkiye; Deniz Kaptan moved to the United States at the age of 18 to pursue a Studio Art degree at San Francisco State University.

While her studies got interrupted due to Covid and financial adversities, Kaptan continued living in both countries and kept oil painting prolifically. Commencing her artistic profile on social media in 2020, Kaptan (aka Twinsmoon online) built a substantial following with over 80 thousand followers and more than 1 billion impressions across platforms, reaching private collectors in over 10 countries.

She is currently residing in Bay Area, California where she keeps an active studio practice in Berkeley.
